    Job description

    About the role

    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Business Systems Analyst to support strategic initiatives across Payments and AML/Financial Crime domains. The ideal candidate will combine strong business analysis skills with technical expertise to drive projects from discovery through implementation.

    In this role, you will:
    • Lead requirements gathering, analysis, and delivery for Payments and AML initiatives.
    • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and translate business needs into functional requirements and user stories.
    • Create and maintain BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, and data mapping documents.
    • Perform source-to-target data mapping and analyze complex datasets using SQL.
    • Support NICE Actimize ActOne implementations, enhancements, and workflow improvements.
    • Collaborate with AML, Compliance, Operations, Product, and Technology teams to deliver effective solutions.
    • Support SIT/UAT testing, defect resolution, and production implementation activities.
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to business and operational challenges.

    What you need to have to be considered:
    • 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
    • Strong Payments domain expertise including ACH, Wire Transfers, RTP, SWIFT, Settlement, and Clearing.
    • Experience with AML/Financial Crime systems and processes.
    • Knowledge of KYC, Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions Screening, and SAR processes.
    • Hands‑on experience with NICE Actimize ActOne or related Actimise platforms.
    • Strong skills in requirements analysis, business process modeling, and data mapping.
    • Advanced SQL skills and experience analyzing large datasets.
    • Experience working in Agile environments with strong stakeholder management skills.
    These will help you stand out:
    • Experience with NICE Actimise modules such as SAM, CDD, WLF, or ERCM.
    • Background in Commercial Banking, Treasury Services, or Payment Modernization programs.
    • Experience leading AML, Compliance, or Financial Crime initiatives.
    • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and enterprise workflow tools.
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

    Salary and compensation:

    The annual salary for this position will be between $120,000 to $141,500 per year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
