    Job description

    Logistics Administrator

    Overall Responsibilities

    • Responsible for all areas of shipping and transportation which includes Bulk, Export, Packaged, Miscellaneous, Rail, and Waste. These shipments include direct customer shipments, shipments to warehouses, air and ocean export shipments, off-line miscellaneous shipments, rail shipments for both loaded and empty railcars, bulk and non-bulk waste shipments, bulk and non-bulk hazardous waste shipments. It also includes scheduling carriers for loading and unloading based on time requirements, service factors, and equipment availability.
    • Monitoring and managing open orders, deliveries, and shipments for customers and other warehouses. E-mail, interaction with people both internal and external to ensure timely execution of shipments. Coordinate with warehouse manager for utilization of warehouse personnel and equipment. Ensure customer specific requirements are met.
    • Receipt verification for all inbound materials for site into SAP. Assisting security as needed for gate entry. Process any inbound Advanced Shipping Notifications as well as performing COA verifications for inbound raw materials. Perform some tolling functions (producing and shipping) prior to receiving McIntosh.
    • Maintain all required shipping files.
