Oracle SOA Administrator

Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle SOA Administrator to install, configure, maintain, and support Oracle SOA Suite environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Oracle Middleware administration, WebLogic Server, SOA/OSB domain management, environment setup, patching, upgrades, and production support in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle SOA Suite (12c/14c), Oracle Service Bus (OSB), and Managed File Transfer (MFT) environments.
  • Perform Oracle SOA/OSB installation, upgrades, migrations, and patching activities.
  • Configure, administer, and maintain Oracle WebLogic domains for SOA, OSB, and MFT.
  • Monitor middleware environments to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot deployment, runtime, and environment-related issues.
  • Configure and manage WebLogic clusters, managed servers, data sources, JMS resources, and application deployments.
  • Support application deployment and release activities in coordination with development teams.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Configure SSL, security policies, certificates, and middleware security best practices.
  • Provide production support, incident management, and root cause analysis for critical issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation for system configurations, installation procedures, and operational processes.
Required Skills
  • Strong experience administering Oracle WebLogic Server.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle SOA Suite (12c/14c), Oracle Service Bus (OSB), and MFT.
  • Experience building and configuring SOA/OSB environments.
  • Expertise in Oracle Middleware installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Experience performing Oracle Middleware patching and upgrades (PSU/CPU).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Experience with Shell scripting for automation and administration.
  • Ability to troubleshoot middleware performance, deployment, and integration issues.
  • Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements.
Preferred Skills
  • Basic understanding of SOA development concepts, including BPEL and OSB services.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git.
  • Exposure to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Splunk.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience working in enterprise Oracle Middleware environments.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional infrastructure and application teams.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
