    Duration- 12 Month+ Contract

    Work Location - Bridgewater, NJ / HYBRID
    Work Schedule- FT / M-F 8am - 5pm
    Pay Rate: $25-28/Hour on W2

    Job Description:
    Our client is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Compliance Specialist to support quality, food safety, and regulatory initiatives within a fast-paced food manufacturing and R&D environment. This role will be responsible for creating and reviewing raw material specifications, with a strong focus on microbiological requirements, chemical contaminants, and food safety compliance.

    The ideal candidate will support HACCP and risk assessment activities for new products and technologies, ensure compliance with internal quality systems and regulatory standards, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, and Operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Create, review, and maintain raw material and ingredient specifications
    • Conduct food safety and risk assessments, including HACCP-related activities
    • Support compliance with FDA, USDA, ISO, FSSC, GMP, and internal quality standards
    • Assist with regulatory inspections, audits, and certification activities
    • Provide technical support and training related to food safety and quality processes
    • Partner with manufacturing and R&D teams to support product launches and process improvements
    • Promote food safety and quality awareness across the organization

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or related field
    • Experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, food safety, R&D, or regulatory compliance
    • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 9001, and FSSC 22000 preferred
    • Experience with ingredient/raw material specifications and quality systems is highly preferred
    • Strong communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
