    Who We Are:

    NFP, an Aon company, is a multiple Best Places to Work award winner in Business Insurance. We are an organization of consultative advisors and problem solvers. We help companies and individuals around the globe address their most significant risk, workforce, wealth management and retirement challenges through custom solutions and a people-first approach. We're looking for a Vice President, Surety to join our team. This role is responsible for strategic relationship management, retention of clients and production of new opportunities when presented.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Demonstrate a broad understanding of surety products and coverages.
    • Supervise and manage the New York State Surety market for NFP preferably operating out of the Albany office.
    • Responsible for managing the overall relationship with assigned surety clients including developing and engaging multiple relationships throughout and within the client organization.
    • Travel to visit clients and engage in client development activities and entertainment. Travel approximately 25%-40%; must see clients in person on a regular basis.
    • Drive revenue growth on existing and new clients through the development of a strategic consultative sales plan.
    • Establish oneself as a self-starter leader with client account teams
    • Establish oneself as the client's primary point of contact and communication conduit for NFP.
    • Cultivate internal and external relationships to establish effective open collaboration, client advocacy, and trust.
    • Develop and obtain a broad knowledge of internal operations to efficiently and effectively solve the needs of the audience and the circumstances at hand.
    • Maintain accurate records of client (or prospect) contacts and their products using account management software or other technology.
    • Develop expertise, and remain current, in assigned client industry and/or market area, and engage in structured continuing education.
    What We're Looking For
    • Must be a subject matter expert in the local contract & commercial surety market.
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills capable of interacting with clients to cultivate strong relationships through effective communication and trust.
    • Manages time effectively through excellent organization, time-management, and multi-tasking skills.
    • Entrepreneurial attitude with a natural ability to own the overall success of client relationships.
    • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and results.
    • Naturally anticipates and analyzes problems and information to proactively solve problems through critical thinking, team networking, and sound business decisions.
    • Dedication to working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment with a commitment to operating with respect and integrity.
    Education and/or Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in Surety
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
    Certificates, Licenses, Registration
    • P&C producer license (or ability to get licensed quickly).

The base salary range for this position is $185,000.00 - $250,000.00. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
