Electrical Engineering Manager

Location: Conshohocken, PA
Work Arrangement: Hybrid – 3 days/week in office

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and designers supporting complex life sciences facility projects. This role is ideal for a senior electrical engineering leader with strong experience in building systems design, team management, client interaction, and staffing/resource planning within a multidisciplinary project environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of approximately 20 electrical engineers and designers
  • Oversee team workload, staffing, performance, and professional development
  • Work directly with clients to understand project scope, requirements, and deliverables
  • Support early-stage feasibility studies, concept development, and project planning efforts
  • Prepare staffing plans, project estimates, and technical reports
  • Provide technical leadership for the design of electrical systems in life sciences facilities
  • Oversee or support designs involving:
    • Medium- and low-voltage power distribution
    • UPS and generator systems
    • Lighting systems
    • Grounding systems
    • Heat trace systems
  • Ensure designs comply with NFPA 70 (NEC) and applicable local codes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams and internal leadership to align project execution and staffing strategy
  • Help identify resource needs, technical challenges, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 15+ years of electrical engineering and design experience
  • Strong experience with building electrical systems design
  • Experience supporting life sciences facilities, such as pharmaceutical, biotech, laboratory, or cleanroom environments
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and applicable building codes
  • Experience with MV/LV power systems, UPS, generators, lighting, grounding, and heat trace
  • Experience leading engineering/design teams, including staffing and performance oversight
  • Experience working directly with clients and multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience developing staffing estimates and resource plans based on project scope
  • Ability to work hybrid in Conshohocken, PA
Preferred Qualifications
  • PE license strongly preferred
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience with life sciences campus facilities
  • Working knowledge of Revit
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Passion for engineering, buildings, and construction
