Job description

Job Title:

Product Manager, Vision & Robotics

About Us:

UnitX builds the world's leading physical AI systems to automate repetitive visual tasks in factories. UnitX is a fast-moving startup with a team from Stanford, MIT, Google, and beyond. Since inception, UnitX has deployed 1,000+ mission-critical systems across 190+ of the world's leading manufacturers' production lines. Every year, $15B worth of products go through UnitX's AI inspection system to ensure quality.

Role Overview

As a Product Manager, Vision & Robotics at UnitX, you will own two of our most important product lines: our software-defined hardware vision products in manufacturing (including end-of-line large field-of-view inspection) across the North America and Europe markets, and our robotics manipulation products. You will partner closely with hardware, software, ML, sales, and customer success teams to turn repetitive factory-floor problems into deployed products running in production 24/7/365. This work runs on real production lines and directly impacts the $15B+ of products inspected through UnitX every year.

What You'll Do:
  • Own vision products (NA & Europe): Drive the software-defined hardware vision products in manufacturing. Including the end-of-line (EOL) large field-of-view (FOV) line. From roadmap through launch and adoption.

  • Own robotics manipulation products: Define requirements, set priorities, and drive UnitX's robotics manipulation products in manufacturing from concept to production.

  • Translate the factory floor into roadmap: Turn real customer and production-line problems into clear MRDs/PRDs and a prioritized, defensible roadmap.

  • Leverage AI to move faster: Use AI tooling for market research, competitive analysis, and accelerating product development and decision-making.

  • Partner cross-functionally: Work hand-in-hand with hardware, software, ML, sales, and customer success to ship products that hold up in the messy world of factory automation.

  • Be in the field: Travel up to 50% to customer sites across North America and Europe to ground product decisions in real deployments.

  • Operate with high agency: Make tradeoffs quickly in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, and own outcomes end-to-end.

Who You Are:
  • 5+ years of product management experience.

  • Track record shipping software-hardware-integrated products.

  • Proficient in leveraging AI for market research and product development.

  • Able to explain tradeoffs, experiments, and decisions clearly to engineers, founders, and customers.

  • Comfortable operating in uncertainty and at the pace of an early-stage company.

  • Willing to travel up to 50% and to be on-site at our Milpitas HQ five days a week.

  • Speak Mandarin fluently.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working on robotics.

  • Prior experience as an engineer.

  • Exposure to manufacturing, industrial automation, or machine-vision domains.

Compensation
  • Competitive salary & equity

  • Unlimited PTO

  • Full Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k

  • Daily meals provided with your own choice
