Senior Product Manager – USDPT
The Senior Product Manager – USDPT will play an important role in shaping and executing product strategy for Western Union’s digital asset products, built on Western Union’s global payment network and the issuance of USDPT. This role will focus on digitizing Western Union’s existing retail network while also supporting adjacent market opportunities, including remittance receivers, Stablecard, and digital asset wallet experiences. The role will operate across multiple digital asset initiatives as the portfolio evolves, partnering with business, engineering, treasury, and external ecosystem stakeholders to identify new opportunities, define product strategy, and scale adoption across Western Union's global network. The Senior Product Manager – USDPT will help build the technology, customer experience, and operational processes required to deliver reliable, scalable, and user‑focused digital asset products. The role will ensure superior customer experience, robust risk controls, prudent fraud management, seamless daily execution, and continuous product improvement.
Role Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Development
- Lead product strategy, vision, roadmap development, and execution across digital asset initiatives, from concept through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Define and manage requirements for digital payments, stablecoins, tokenization, and settlement solutions while ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on digital assets, stablecoins, blockchain‑enabled payments, and emerging industry trends, helping shape Western Union's long‑term digital asset strategy.
- Translate stakeholder feedback into product improvements that enhance customer experience, efficiency, and scalability.
Product Execution & Operations
- Partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Compliance, Risk, Legal, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to deliver features and enhancements.
- Identify operational risks, process gaps, and opportunities for scalable improvements.
- Establish requirements for fraud prevention, transaction monitoring, compliance, and risk controls.
- Monitor product performance, manage issue resolution, and drive continuous improvements through data‑driven insights and monitoring tools.
Platform & Ecosystem Management
- Drive ecosystem expansion by working with internal teams, external partners, and platform providers to enable new digital asset capabilities, integrations, and customer experiences.
- Partner directly with Western Union agents, regional teams, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, validate product‑market fit, and prioritize roadmap investments.
- Maintain operational documentation, controls, and knowledge‑sharing practices.
- Support platform readiness for wallet, card, settlement, and partner integration use cases.
Requirements
- Basic
- 5+ years of Product Management experience in financial services, payments and remittances, product operations, or digital asset products.
- 2+ years of exposure to crypto, blockchain, stablecoins, tokenization, or DeFi, with a strong understanding of digital assets, global payment networks, card issuing, digital wallets, and settlement systems.
- 2+ years of track record of launching products and driving operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience with risk management, operational controls, fraud prevention, and incident response.
- Strong technical acumen with the ability to work closely with engineering teams on APIs, blockchain integrations, digital wallets, user experience design, and modern application architectures. Coding experience is not required.
- Preferred
- Working knowledge of U.S. and global banking, financial services, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Experience building or scaling digital wallet products, custody platforms, stablecoin products, crypto exchanges, or blockchain infrastructure solutions (e.g., Fireblocks, DFNS, Coinbase, MetaMask, Phantom, Stripe Crypto).
- Demonstrated experience owning customer‑facing financial services products and translating customer feedback into roadmap priorities and product enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations, Information Systems, or a related technical field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience.

Work Shift
HYBRID - Western Union values in‑person collaboration, problem solving, and ideation whenever possible. The expectation is to work from the office a minimum of three days a week.
