Description

Position Overview

We are seeking Union Commercial Roofers. This position involves performing commercial roofing work in compliance with Local 69 work rules, manufacturer specifications, and OSHA safety standards. Ideal candidates take pride in quality workmanship and working as part of a professional union crew. 

  • Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise and lead union commercial roofing crews on active job sites
    • Coordinate daily work assignments in accordance with Local 69 work rules
    • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders
    • Ensure quality workmanship and compliance with manufacturer specifications
    • Enforce OSHA regulations and Local 69 safety standards
    • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and manage production goals
    • Train, guide, and support apprentices and crew members
    • Communicate effectively with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors
    • Track labor hours, materials, and job progress
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing systems
  • Perform work on TPO, EPDM, PVC
  • Follow Local 69 work rules and Collective Bargaining Agreement guidelines
  • Be on time and prepared for work
  • Safely operate roofing tools, equipment, and machinery
  • Work cooperatively with foremen, crew members, and apprentices
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
  • Comply with OSHA and all job site safety requirements

Qualifications

  • Ability to work safely at heights and in varying weather conditions
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
  • Ability to work productively as part of a union crew

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
  • Experience on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
  • Willingness to support and work alongside apprentices when assigned
Benefits

Western offers a competitive wage. We provide medical, dental and vision insurance with the company paying over 80% of the premium. A $10,000 Life insurance and $10,000 Accidental death and dismemberment benefit is provided and is 100% company-paid. Generous 401k plan. Must work at a minimum of 30 hours per week to be eligible for benefits after 90 days of employment.


Compensation for this role is determined using a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, market benchmarks, and the cost of labor in the different geographic locations where we operate.  In addition to base pay, this position may also be eligible for:

  • Beneficial ownership in the Company through Western's Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
  • A comprehensive benefits package, which includes health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off, maternity leave, and additional benefits designed to support employees and their families.
US Pay Range
$30—$38 USD
