Job Description

WGL is seeking a Field Operations Clerk for our Hyattsville MD station. You will be supporting the Field Operations and System O&M field crew activities by researching, processing, maintaining, updating and documenting work activities for compliance, planned maintenance and service to customers.
Your Responsibilities:

  • Create Job Packages for maintenance work including but not limited to printing of Service Record Cards, SmallWorld prints and other related documents.
  • Initiate, update FMDRCT conditions and WMIS work requests.
  • Initiate, update and document Miss Utility Locate Ticket information for maintenance work.
  • Initiate permit requests in Web Portal and WMIS and documents information for maintenance work.
  • Use CAD (Computer aided dispatch) and COS (Customer Order System) to track orders put in system.
  • Compile reports on orders pending to dispatch and those dispatched to contractors.
  • Process contractor invoices for payment.
  • Provide support to the Technical Supervisor, and Supervisor.
  • As directed, research customer complaints related to maintenance work performed in the field.
  • Maintain or update network-based rosters, logs, lists, spreadsheets and/or databases related to Field Operations shifts, vehicles, equipment or other information.
  • Provide other clerical support to Field Operations and System O&M field crews as directed by the Technical Supervisor or Supervisor.
  • Make scanned or hard copies of documents as required and maintains or updates associated files.
  • Communicate with internal and external WG customers as needed to perform assigned job duties.
  • Perform other miscellaneous clerical duties, as needed.

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
  • Familiarity with CICS, COS, SMALLWORLD, WMIS, CTS, Web Portal, Web Extender/Application Extender tracking systems preferred.

Rate Classification: Grade 4A- $25.57 per hour, per the Collective Bargaining Agreement
