Position Summary:
The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for the administration and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. They will provide support, troubleshooting, solution creation, innovation, and execution within ServiceNow.
Specific job duties include but are not limited to:
Administration and Maintenance:
  • Oversee daily administration of the ServiceNow platform, including user administration, access control, and system maintenance.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Proactively research future ServiceNow upgrades and versions to ensure that the impacts of upgrades and versions are known and that all key stakeholders are briefed on impending changes
  • Review Release Notes and create test plans to ensure that current configurations are tested with upcoming upgrades and help resolve post-production deficiencies, if necessary

Support and Troubleshooting:
  • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for incidents, problems, and service requests related to the ServiceNow platform.
  • Investigate and resolve complex issues, working closely with cross-functional teams and vendors as needed.

Solution Creation, Innovation, and Execution
  • Understand the business context, collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and translate them into sustainable technical solutions within ServiceNow through analysis, testing, training and implementation.
  • Ability to design user-friendly interfaces within ServiceNow, enhancing the overall user experience for employees and customers.
  • Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, workflows, forms, and UI components to meet business requirements.
  • Design, develop, and implement custom solutions, integrations, and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other relevant technologies.
  • Create and maintain ServiceNow workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts to automate processes and improve efficiency.
  • Overhaul, maintain, and enhance change and asset management within the platform.
  • Work with the Enterprise Data Management team on data management practices and enterprise data alignment across all of corporate platforms

Continual Service Improvement:
  • Provide continual service improvement input to advance ITIL maturity in areas such as change management, problem management, and release management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes related to incident handling, change control, problem resolution, and service requests.

Documentation and Training:
  • Create and maintain process and knowledge documentation for the team and end-users.
  • Deliver training sessions and workshops to educate end-users and stakeholders on ServiceNow best practices, functionality, and capabilities.
  • Provide mentorship across the organization in the adoption and implementation for ServiceNow best practices
  • Communicate with technical and non-technical customers by answering questions related to ServiceNow Platform

Governance and Compliance:
  • Establish and enforce governance policies, standards, and best practices for ServiceNow development, configuration, and usage.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards (CMMC, NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, and ITIL framework principles within the ServiceNow environment.

Required Job Specifications

  • Experience working in and with FedRAMP environments
  • Ability to plan and execute strategically to balance out organizational impact with organizational benefit

  • Continuous Learning and Development mindset geared towards continuous learning and staying updated with the latest ServiceNow features and industry trends
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the ServiceNow platform and its integration with other systems
  • Customer centric mindset focused on achieving amazing outcomes to the benefit of Summit 7 customers, both internal and external
  • Experience with configuration management and relational databases
  • Experience with CRM and order fulfillment systems in a services oriented industry
  • Experience with ServiceNow modules such as CSM, SPM, ITSM, SOM, CMDB and Incident Management
  • Strong experience Service Portal and catalog items
  • Experience with ServiceNow forms, fields, views, lists, UI policy and actions
  • Strong understanding of ServiceNow module management and modification including the ability to troubleshoot ServiceNow ITSM functionality issues
  • Experience with GRC tools is a plus

Option/Desired Skill Sets
  • ServiceNow certification (e.g., Certified System Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist) preferred.
  • Azure Gov Cloud and Office 365 GCC/GCCH experience
  • A degree in Computer Science or Relevant Field
  • Any of the following certifications:
