Job Description:

About the Role:

The Packer is responsible for ensuring finished products are properly packaged to customer specification. Operate production machines.

  • Operate production machines.
  • Pack unit cartons in corrugated boxes, pouches in corrugated boxes, tea bags in cartons, etc.
  • Year-end inventory possible
  • Perform quality control inspections, as required, per standards and product specifications.
  • Train newly hired or temporarily hired Packers on operating procedures as authorized by plant management. Direct and optimize workflow of part-time and/or temporary Packers, as needed.
  • Long periods of standing and occasional lifting of roughly 40lbs.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment
  • Comply with plant rules and policies.

Important Details:

  • This is a full-time permanent role on second (2nd) shift with possible overtime. The anticipate starting wage rate for this position is $16.00 per hour plus shift differential.

You'll fit right in if you have:

  • Prior production work experience of 1 year preferred
  • Must work safely
  • Must be able to read, white count, & possess basic computer skills
  • Must be able to lift 20-40 pounds frequently & occasionally lift up to 50lbs with assistance
  • May stand for entire work period
  • Basic knowledge of weights and measures
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
