Job Description:
This is a full-time salaried position reporting directly to the President and Vice President of Operations. You will share responsibility with a the Assistant Store Manager for all the typical roles of an Operations Manager, including hiring, scheduling, and training. Your area of specific responsibility will be focus on production of our weekly rotating menu, quality control of all our products, hiring, training, and leading the staff in delivering the best quality and customer service. .
Responsibilities:
  • Make final hiring decisions on all hourly staff
  • Create and maintain staffing schedules meeting the needs of the store
  • Oversee hourly staff training and certifications for food handlers.
  • Monitor and enforce hourly staff policy compliance and any resulting discipline
  • Consistently participate in defining, and then maintaining a Culture of Excellence that consistently exceeds customer expectations
  • Monitor and lead in maintaining all Key Performance Indicators related to Customer Service and Dessert quality
  • Lead point of contact working with catering and fundraising customers and partners
  • Receive, resolve, report, and follow-up all in-bound customer inquiries by email and phone
  • Successfully and consistently collaborate with the Assistant Store Operations Manager to ensure overall store goals and standards are met regardless of specifically documented Areas of Responsibility
  • Engage in local community in fundraising, relationship building, and marketing opportunities
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Able to verbally communicate in basic English. Spanish is a plus.
    • Background in QSR or similar high-paced retail Food & Beverage industry
    • 2+ Years experience managing 10 or more hourly staff in a customer-facing environment
    • 1+ Year(s) experience creating and managing staffing schedules
    • Able to work within a weekly range of 40-45 hours, in a combination of days, nights, and Saturdays
    • Some experience interviewing and making hiring decisions hourly staff
    • ServeSafe preferred, but must have (or equivalent) within 30 days of start
    • Must have smartphone / tablet and able to use for required apps
    • Must be comfortable working with basic spreadsheets and use of simple functions
    • Able to comfortably lift 50lbs and climb ladders
    • Reliable Transportation
    • Valid driver's license
    • Able to pass background check
    • Ability to attend online meetings and communicate during reasonable hours when not at store
