The starting pay range for this position per hour is $25.75 - $27.75. The full pay range for this position per hour is $25.75 - $43.75

  • Using surveillance and intelligence-led tactics to keep team members and guests safe and secure while aiding in the reduction of shortage

  • UsingTarget'svideo surveillance systemtomonitorguests andidentifypotential theft risks

  • ImplementingTarget's Assets Protection practices and routines to reduce and prevent shortage

  • Properly and effectively documentingcases

  • Identifyingstrategic resolutions of external theft and fraud, and apprehension

As anAssets Protection Specialist,no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day willmost likely includethe following responsibilities:

  • Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:

  • Greet:

  • 10ft: be friendly - smile, make eye contact, or wave

  • 4ft: greet the guest, smile andinitiatea warm, helpful interaction

  • Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience

  • Resolve theft by using good judgement and conductingapprehensionsinshortagefocus areas while strictlyadhering toAPpoliciesand procedures.

  • Identifytheft trends byleveragingtechnology,reportingand surveillance tactics.

  • Prevent theft by gathering intelligence and communicatingimportant issues.

  • Understand and appropriatelyusevideosystemstomonitortheft activity.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Meet any state or local licensureand/or other legal requirements related to the position

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude towardallguests and other team members

  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices andoperatehandheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

  • Effective communication skills

  • Work both independently and with a team

  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment andaccomplishmultiple tasks within establishedtimeframes
