Job description

Basic Function and Distinguishing Characteristics Under the direction of the Information and Technical Services Manager, is responsible for the daily operations of the Imperial County Network. The Network Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily work assignments, for training network administrators on policy and procedures and for assessing staff proficiency and compliance, quality control and adherence to applicable regulatory requirements. The Network Operations Supervisor provides education, technical training and quality oversight for staff.

This position assists the Information and Technical Services Manager with budgetary and resource management issues of the department. Education and Experience/ Licenses and Other Requirements Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, network system administration or a related discipline is highly desirable. Five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in supporting/managing complex networked systems in an enterprise environment.

At least two years of technical experience must have been in a supervisory or management capacity. Valid California Driver's License. Appropriate Professional certification, e.g

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) will be determined based on assignment. Supplemental Information A valid driver's license may be required at the time of appointment and employees may also be required to drive their own vehicle and provide proof of liability insurance as per Vehicle Code VC 160020.
