Job description

This is a hybrid position based at our beautiful corporate office located in Brentwood, TN, with on-site work required Monday through Wednesday.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Analysis and Development:

  • Drive the day-to-day development of key analysis to support stakeholder objectives, ensuring that insights meet the business needs of Surgery Partners.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (developers and data engineers) to translate complex data into actionable insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.
  • Analyze structured and unstructured healthcare data to identify trends, opportunities and operational performance metrics.

Data Modeling and Understanding:

  • Build a deep understanding of underlying data models, inputs, and definitions to ensure accurate analysis and reporting.
  • Work with stakeholders to refine data definitions and establish a consistent approach to data interpretation and usage.

Product and Visualization Development:

  • Build understanding of data visualizations, tools, and create reports that effectively communicate insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence (BI) developers to produce interactive dashboards and other analytical products that align with business needs and are intuitive, accurate, and aligned with end-user requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as a liaison between the BI team and business stakeholders, understanding their data needs and aligning expectations.
  • Prioritize data requests based on organizational goals and resource availability.
  • Train and support stakeholders in navigating BI reports and tools

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a business analyst or data analyst role, preferably in a healthcare setting

LICENSE(S)/CERTIFICATION(S)

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Proficient in Excel, Familiarity with Sigma, PowerBI, and / or data visualization tools.
  • Basic understanding of data modeling, statistical analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to a variety of stakeholders.
