Description
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for performing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure manufactured products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, reducing defects, and supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Opportunities are available on both first and second shifts.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of materials and finished products
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions
  • Identify nonconforming material and initiate NCRs as required
  • Communicate quality issues to production and leadership teams
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Recommend process improvements to reduce defects and variation
  • Perform random audits to verify process compliance
  • Maintain clean and organized work area in alignment with 5S standards

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Proficiency using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
  • Ability to document inspection results and communicate findings effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in metal fabrication, HVAC, or heat exchanger manufacturing
  • Experience working under ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
  • Experience with NCR documentation and root cause analysis
  • Basic computer/data entry experience (Excel, ERP systems)
