Job description

Job Description SummaryOrganization's Summary Statement:
Leads day-to-day operations of the Institute for Robust Quantum Simulation (RQS) including the areas of research capacity coordination, community engagement, and institute reporting functions. Manages activities between the Institute's collaborative universities and partner organizations, as well as administrative execution and integration of the four major functions of the center: 1) Cross-Disciplinary Research, 2) Education, Training, and Workforce Development, 3) Research Coordination and Community Engagement, and 4) Partnerships and Infrastructure. Interfaces with designated faculty leads and facilitates financial and operational data provision to allow the Institute leadership team to decide on the initiatives to undertake. Supervises coordinator.
Physical Demands: This is an office job that requires the ability to be stationary for long periods time and the visual acuity and manual dexterity required to operate a computer and other standard office machinery. Must be able to attend meetings in various locations on campus.
Licenses/ Certifications: N/AMinimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Ten (10) years of professional program management experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Knowledge of business acumen to understand key business drivers, organizational communications, and data.
Knowledge of organizational and unit performances measures.
Knowledge of the impact and implications of decisions on leadership objectives.
Skill in oral and written communication.
Skill in data analytics and negotiation.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to research information and analyze/synthesize complex data and information to create reports and presentations with valid conclusions derived from various sources.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
Ability to develop and administer new policies and procedures.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
