Position Title: Regional Branch Manager

REPORTS TO: Assistant Vice President of Retail Experience

SUPERVISES: Branch Managers and Branch Leadership Teams

JOB STATUS: Exempt

JOB GRADE 14: $80,288.00 - $100,339.20 Targeted Annual Salary

JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Branch Manager is responsible for the leadership, oversight, and performance of multiple branch locations within an assigned region/territory. This position provides strategic direction, coaching, and support to Branch Managers to ensure operational excellence, consistent Member experiences, achievement of sales and service goals, and compliance with Credit Union policies and procedures. The Regional Branch Manager plays a critical role in developing branch leadership, driving organizational initiatives, and fostering a culture centered on exceptional Member service, employee engagement, and business growth.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Directly leads, coaches, and develops Branch Managers and branch leadership teams within an assigned region.
  • Provides oversight and accountability for branch performance, including Member experience (service), sales production, operational efficiency, employee development, and financial results.
  • Ensures consistency in service delivery, operational practices, and execution of Credit Union initiatives across all assigned branch locations.
  • Partners with Branch Managers to establish performance goals, monitor results, and implement action plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Conducts regular branch visits to both evaluate and to devise plans for elevating branch operations, employee engagement, Member experience, facility needs, and compliance with Credit Union standards.
  • Reviews and analyzes branch performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coaches Branch Managers on leadership effectiveness, employee development, succession planning, performance management, and conflict resolution.
  • Participates in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, and development of branch leadership personnel.
  • Oversee employee performance management processes, including performance evaluations, coaching, corrective actions, and recognition programs.
  • Collaborates with internal departments to ensure branches receive the support, resources, training, and communication necessary for success.
  • Supports and drives organizational initiatives, strategic objectives, sales campaigns, and operational changes throughout assigned branches.
  • Ensures compliance with all Credit Union policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Monitors branch audit findings, operational risks, and compliance concerns, ensuring timely resolution and corrective action.
  • Reviews Member feedback and service metrics, partnering with Branch Managers to improve Member satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Assists in budget planning, resource allocation, staffing strategies, and workforce planning for assigned branches.
  • Represents the Credit Union in community, business, and networking events to promote organizational growth and visibility.
  • Attends all training related to new products, services, systems, and organizational initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Expert knowledge in financial services, products, and operations within a retail/branch environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a proven track record of developing leaders and building high-performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of credit union branch operations.
  • Ability to analyze operational and financial data and develop effective strategies for improvement.
  • Excellent coaching, mentoring, and employee development skills.
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities across several locations.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to resolve complex employee and Member situations professionally and effectively.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and applicable business systems.
  • Ability to foster collaboration and maintain strong working relationships across departments.
  • Excellent patience, tact, enthusiasm and positive attitude toward the members and general public.
  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate difficult situations while creating the best possible Member experience.

Travel more than 50% of the time 

Those in a leadership role are expected to participate in company meetings, community events, and similar engagements as ambassadors to the organization and its mission. These include voluntary and involuntary events that although ordinarily will be during business hours, does include weekends and evenings as announced.

Maintain a valid drivers license, and remain insurable.

Education/Experience:

  • Education or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, in addition to 7 plus years' progressively responsible experience in a retail branch environment.
  • 3 or more years of supervisory experience is required, including supervision of multiple managers/teams.
