Job description

Position Title: Indirect Loan Specialist I

REPORTS TO: AVP Lending/Loan Manager

SUPERVISES: N/A

JOB STATUS: Non-Exempt

JOB GRADE: 8: $20.00 to $23.53 Targeted Hourly Rate


JOB SUMMARY:

This employee is responsible for assisting with the processing/funding of all indirect loans, as well as the quality control for all indirect loan packets. In addition, employee is responsible for the backup of timely and accurate perfecting and releasing liens of titled collateral.

All employees of State Employees Credit Union are proactive, result driven, and fully committed to the Credit Union's mission and vision. They strive to achieve the highest standards of excellence and consistently exceed the expectations established by Credit Union Management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Pre-funding review of indirect loan documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process, book and fund all approved indirect loans.
  • Prepare and mail welcome letters/packets to indirect members.
  • Assist with the tracking of all indirect loans for exceptions such as titles, insurance, etc.
  • Assist with the Quality Control for centralized indirect loan document.
  • Review and balance pre-funding report prior to ACH/Wire submission.
  • Ensure that liens are perfected and titles scanned into the electronic filing system.
  • Process accurate and timely release of vehicle titles and adverse action notices as needed.
  • Understand compliance issues & attend training as they relate to Indirect Loan Specialist, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act; Reg P; Patriot Act.
  • Other all other assigned duties.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • perience with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Excellent customer service, follow-up, and follow-through.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform advanced clerical duties.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Education/Experience:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited high school or have the equivalent of a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Lending, financial institution, or dealership experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Must be capable to execute all terms and conditions set forth in the Employee Handbook, including but not limited to:

  • Works in a safety conscious manner which ensures that safe work practices are used in order not to pose a risk to self or others in the workplace.
  • Adheres to policy on Drug Free Workplace.
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations.
