Advertised Job Summary The pharmacy resident will be responsible for providing evidence-based, collaborative, patient-centered care under the supervision of a preceptor. The pharmacy resident will be a self-directed, independent, motivated learner as guided by the Residency Program Director and preceptors. The pharmacy resident will conduct several projects to improve the quality of patient care, advance the profession of pharmacy, and evaluate the sustainability of pharmacy services. The pharmacy resident will also provide medication-related education and training to healthcare professionals.

Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience This position is at SouthWire in Carrollton, Georgia.

PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy; eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Georgia; current CPR certification is required; must meet the qualifications to administer vaccinations according to the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.

The pharmacy resident will conduct several projects to improve the quality of patient care, advance the profession of pharmacy, and evaluate the sustainability of pharmacy services.
Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty Responsible for dispensing prescriptions, counseling patients on prescription and over-the-counter products, and managing pharmacy technicians and interns.

The practice site teaching opportunities will involve assisting the site preceptor with experiential education training for College of Pharmacy students.
