Job description

Operations Manager of Corporate Fire Services and Badging

Wage: $80,017.60/ salary

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically skilled manager of access control, CCTV systems, and fire suppression to manage and maintain our security infrastructure. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for quality assurance (QA) regarding access control and technical issues, supporting both direct and contract Field Security Officers (FSO) and Corporate Security Officers (CSO). The ideal candidate will also lead corporate audits, staff training, and manage the implementation of new security technologies, ensuring systems are functioning optimally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Access Control & Technical Support:

    • Act as the primary touchpoint for QA related to access control or technical issues for FSO and CSO staff (direct and contract).
    • Conduct corporate audits of access control systems, CCTV systems, and overall system security.
    • Provide training to CSO and FSO staff on the proper use and troubleshooting of access control systems.
  • Administrative Management:

    • Oversee administrative functions related to badging/access control, service requests, fire safety, and mechanical access.
    • Serve as the PDM auditor, ensuring accuracy and compliance for general vendor staff.
  • CCTV System Management:
    • Manage the configuration, patching, troubleshooting, exporting of footage, and review of CCTV systems.
    • Conduct company-wide CCTV inspections to ensure: 

      • Cleanliness of equipment
      • Proper visibility
      • Absence of video errors and obstructions
      • Proper setup of camera views
      • Compliance with recorded video standards
      • Functionality of cameras and equipment
      • NVR checks and maintenance
      • Time sync issue reporting and fixes
  • Employee Management & Payroll:
    • Manage payroll for responsible employees and ensure that all required training is completed.
    • Act as the contract touchpoint for employees, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and performance standards.

  • Technology Implementation & Tracking:
    • Track and manage the implementation of new technologies, updating weekly and presenting reports quarterly. This includes: 

      • Thermal camera installations, alarm routing, and analytics
      • Drone detection systems (currently shelved) and drone implementation
      • Weapons detection system implementation and integration
      • Fence detection technology
  • Software Systems:
    • Lead the training and implementation of software technologies, including: 

      • Security Expert access control software
      • InspectNTrack fire inspection tracking system

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Information Technology, Security Management, or a similar discipline) OR
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with CCTV systems, access control technologies, and data analytics.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of access control and CCTV systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and system audits.
  • Proven ability to train staff on the use and troubleshooting of security systems.
  • Strong administrative skills with experience in managing security-related documentation and repositories.
  • Experience with security technology installations, including thermal cameras, drone detection, and weapons detection systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve issues related to system functionality.
  • Ability to implement and manage new technologies and systems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and vendors.
  • Experience with software technologies, particularly in access control and fire inspection tracking systems.

Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):

  • Familiarity with NVR and time sync troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CCTV inspections and audits across a large organization.
  • Technical certification in security technologies (e.g., CCTV, access control systems) is a plus.
