This Associate Category Manager role is built for someone who enjoys turning data into strategies that win at the shelf. You'll partner closely with Sales to support both Grocery and Military customers, transforming shopper, syndicated, and retailer data into recommendations that grow distribution, assortment, shelving, and category performance. This is more than reporting—you'll own the process from uncovering opportunities to delivering compelling insights that influence customer decisions. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment where insights lead directly to action, you'll have a meaningful impact on how Sazerac grows across two important channels.

What You'll Do

• Own the full process—from pulling and analyzing raw, imperfect data to developing insights and recommendations that support Grocery and Military growth strategies
• Identify opportunities across assortment, shelving, pricing, promotions, and merchandising using syndicated, shopper, retailer, and internal sales data
• Build dashboards, business reviews, and analytical tools that equip Sales and Category teams with actionable insights for customer discussions
• Monitor category performance, shopper trends, and competitive activity to uncover risks, opportunities, and emerging market trends
• Partner closely with Category Managers and Sales to support customer strategies, category reviews, and execution across Grocery and Military accounts

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Analytics, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in Category Management, Shopper Insights, Retail Analytics, or Customer Strategy within CPG, beverage, or retail industries
• Experience working with syndicated data (e.g., Circana, Nielsen) and visualization tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau, with strong communication and data storytelling skills
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, remote environment with up to 10–15% travel

Preferred:

• Experience supporting both Regional Grocery and Military customers (DeCA, AAFES, NEXCOM)
• Experience with JDA, Blue Yonder, or other space planning/category management tools
• Experience in beverage alcohol, spirits, or other DSD categories
