Job description

Are you a hardworking and self-motivated transactional lawyer looking to make a meaningful impact in the fintech world? Ripple Labs Inc. is seeking a skilled Corporate Counsel to join our growing and agile legal team to efficiently manage our vendor contracts and to support our wide range of product lines, including payments, custody, and stablecoin. You will report directly to Ripple's Deputy General Counsel and play a key role in our mission to implement innovative financial solutions successfully!


What You'll Do:
  • One of your primary roles will be to manage our increasing number of vendor agreements and to think of ways to streamline the process.
  • Assist the Company's sales and business development teams with various commercial transactions. This includes drafting and negotiating term sheets and definitive documentation. You will also manage the deal process.
  • Manage and budget for external advisors engaged on such projects.
What We're Looking For:
  • J.D. from a top-tier law school with strong academic credentials.
  • Min. 5 years of practice, ideally as a corporate attorney at a major law firm and at a fintech startup.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Ripple's product, marketing, engineering, security, tax, and finance teams to ensure agreements align with internal corporate policies and processes.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, judgment, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, and act decisively.
  • Competence in presenting complex issues clearly and concisely, providing succinct, practical, and effective legal advice.
