A Material Program Manager (MPM) in the Operations & Supply Chain group is needed for the Raytheon Advanced Technologies Strategic Business Unit (SBU) - Advanced Hypersonic Weapons directorate in Tucson, AZ. This role requires advanced/applied knowledge of the material requirements planning (MRP) process, project management and proposal activities.
In this role, you will apply your existing knowledge of Supply Chain, material requirements planning and business acumen within a matrixed organization. You will develop and lead a material program strategy/plan for programs or integrated product team. Additionally, you will participate in proposals by developing and leading supply chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates and participating in gate review preparation and/or support activities and assists with the generation of Supplier Statement of Works (SSOW).
The successful candidate will have excellent written and oral communications skills to influence and communicate effectively across multiple areas outside of one's own job function as well as with parties external to the organization. You will have the opportunity to lead projects, budgeting and financial management, issues and conflict resolution. As a member of product team in a matrixed environment, you will frequently need to communicate at an executive level within and outside your function, using your ability to influence others outside of your immediate work area to explain gain alignment on plans, policies, practices, and procedures.
This is an onsite position in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
  • Principles, concepts, industry practices and standards related to MRP planning systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle and other next generation ERP systems)
  • Master Data, MRP Scheduling and Material Sales Forecasting
  • Customer Proposal generation
  • Financial management (i.e., EV, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts, etc.); overall ownership of the supplier management process (i.e., Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance, metrics, international issues, develop/evaluate the make/buy strategy, the Collaborative Agreement process, etc.), and communication of customer flow-through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offset, public law, quality, warranty, etc
  • The MPM may act as the Control Account Manager. Working at the front end of the business, the MPM identifies and secures Supply Chain resources to support the capture plan and manages the Supply Chain content of the proposal pipeline
  • Maintaining/Assessing the integrity of the MRP environment and your programs' schedule within that environment
  • Balancing supply and demand to create/maintain executable schedules
  • Issue/Conflict resolution within organizations, between organizations and with suppliers
  • Financial planning and Earned Value Management
  • Willingness to Travel Domestically/Internationally, as required

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
  • Experience in supply chain and related systems, program management, procurement, MRP, cost estimating, and/or finance
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through education and past experience in a manufacturing environment with the ability to provide creative and systemic solutions
  • Strong analytical skills required to evaluate end-to-end planning and identify constraints, risks and opportunities
  • Advanced Supply Chain Planning tools (i.e. SAP, Kinaxis RapidResponse)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skillset (i.e. pivot tables, filters, advanced formulas, macros, automation, MS Office Integration, etc.)
  • A knowledge base that can be leveraged to affect change and provide creative, lasting systemic solutions to ensure MRP integrity in support of on time deliveries

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
