OnTrac is hiring a Maintenance Technician 2 – Conveyor Systems

Pay: $32.00 - 38.00/ hr. (DOE) 

Shift Availability:

Thursday to Monday from 3:00pm to 11:30pm

The Must-Haves:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

  • 1+ years related experience and/or training in mechanical and electrical equipment, or equivalent combination of both education and specific work experience.

  • Welding experience is required

  • Current Driver's License and clean driving record 

Your Mission in Motion:

  • Ensure proper operation of conveyor systems, and material handling equipment to keep our operations running smoothly, responding in a timely manner to all material handling systems breakdowns

  • Maintain and provide routine preventive maintenance to conveyor systems

  • Change and repair parts of conveyor systems, rebuild and align equipment, gears, shafts, pulleys, and belts

  • Use illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the repair, modification, and maintenance of equipment

  • Perform housekeeping duties, including work area clean-up, conveyor and equipment clean-up, and other general housekeeping duties as assigned

  • Daily Inspections of machinery for potential problems

  • From time to time, you may be called in after hours to ensure our MHS (conveyor) systems are working at optimum capacity

  • Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment by adhering to policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Safety Program

  • Most of the work is performed independently, but from time to time you will need to tap the shoulder of another OnTrac maintenance member, we work as a team!

Paving your way to your success:

  • Ability to learn and follow all safety regulations and job instructions to perform primary duties

  • Knowledge of Material Handling Systems (MHS), industrial conveyor systems and controls, VFDs, PLC, Electronic motors (480V). Programming, GUI and or HMI experience is a big plus

  • Knowledge of LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out), PM’s (Preventative Maintenance), and 3-Phase electrical work

  • Ability to read and understand schematics and electrical blueprints

  • Mechanical work experience

  • Industrial electrical knowledge a PLUS

  • Welding experience a plus

  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements

  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate 24 hr. operations; occasionally work extended hours, weekends and holidays as needed

  • Ability to lift 60 pounds on a routine basis

  • Good time management skills and ability to work independently and as a team
