Job Description

Serves as a senior individual contributor and leading operational expert, independently shaping and influencing system-level strategies across Northwell Health. Operating without direct reporting lines, is responsible for conceiving, piloting, and implementing innovative methods and solutions for the most complex, ambiguous, and high-impact operational challenges. Consistently drives significant improvement, often yielding measurable gains such as efficiency enhancements, cost reductions, or improved patient satisfaction scores. Acts as a top advisor and thought leader to senior executives on critical, enterprise-wide initiatives, leveraging deep subject matter expertise and exceptional influence to foster consensus and drive strategic outcomes.

Job Responsibility

1.Provides strategic advice and proactive guidance to create system-level operational strategies, influencing and forging partnerships with significant external entities, ensuring alignment with Northwell Health's long-term vision.
2.Independently researches, designs, and coordinates the implementation of pioneering operational policies, procedures, programs, and standards that maximize programmatic success and optimize efficiency across the health system, consistently delivering measurable results.
3.Devises new methods and implements cutting-edge solutions to address highly complex and ambiguous operational issues, often acting as a sole contributor or leading and influencing cross-functional efforts on critical, precedent-setting assignments without direct managerial authority.
4.Regularly provides enterprise-level operational guidance and expertise, influencing key decisions that significantly impact Northwell Health's financial and business operations.
5.Serves as a top advisor and senior-level spokesperson, strategically engaging with multiple functions across the enterprise and external partners to foster collaborative solutions, and advocate for operational excellence.
6.Applies advanced business acumen and foresight to system-wide programs or initiatives, providing expert consultation and guidance on the planning, organizing, and coordinating of financial policies and practices to control revenues, disburse funds, and conserve assets at an enterprise level.
7.Provides advanced operational guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to other team members and management on new technologies, theories, concepts, and techniques.
8.Leads complex, enterprise-wide projects and initiatives through influence, expertise, and project management best practices, exercising wide latitude in determining objectives, approaches and resource allocation for critical assignments from concept to successful implementation.
9.Proactively anticipates future business needs, collaborates seamlessly with diverse stakeholders to align and secure necessary resources, and champions initiatives to effect significant, transformative operational change across the system, interpreting and standardizing fiscal and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance.

Job Qualification

Master's Degree or Doctorate's degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience required.
15+ years of relevant experience preferred
5+ years of leadership / management experience preferred
