    Job description

    Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals are seeking full-time Anesthesiologists to join our growing employed group based in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, approximately 60 miles northeast of New York City and adjacent to Westchester County, New York. We are presently recruiting for full-time call positions. Part-time and per diem scheduling options will also be considered. With approximately 40 physicians and 40 CRNAs, our group covers a variety of cases, including spine, orthopedics, cardiac, and obstetrics. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, established, and growing program that includes teaching residents, medical students, and CRNA students. A generous sign-on bonus and relocation allowance are provided.

    The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Anesthesia. New and recent graduates are welcome to apply, including 2027 graduates. There are opportunities for candidates with cardiac, regional, critical care, and obstetrical fellowship training. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives, allowances for CME and dues expenses, and malpractice coverage.

    Our highly experienced team provides 24/7 coverage at Danbury, Norwalk, New Milford and Sharon Hospitals. Danbury Hospital has 456 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. New Milford Hospital is an 85-bed community hospital and Sharon Hospital is a 78-bed community hospital. We are affiliated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine.

    Danbury, Connecticut, in Fairfield County, is located in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains and on the border of New York State, about 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. This beautiful suburban location has highly rated public and private schools and universities. As part of the greater NY metropolitan area, the city of Danbury enjoys proximity to New York City culture and offers many venues for 4 season outdoor and indoor recreational activities. Boston, New York City, New Haven and Hartford are easily accessible via train or car.

    Norwalk Hospital is ideally situated in Fairfield County, Connecticut, along the Long Island Sound. The city of Norwalk is rich in cultural diversity and offers many venues for four season outdoor and indoor recreational activities. There are excellent public and private schools and universities in our area. New York City is easily accessible by car or train.
