Job description
R&D Software Manager manages a team of software engineers developing components and services solutions for electronic test & measurement customers. Primary responsibility for this role is to provide direction (both technical and people-focused) for the team responsible for cloud-based components and services using analytics to provide insights to customers designing and manufacturing electronics.
Additional duties include:
- Manage Product Life Cycle for Cloud-based software solutions in the electronic test & measurement domain
- Project estimation and communication of status to stakeholders
- Manage project risk and devise & execute risk mitigation plans
- Working with technology leads to bring high-quality solutions to the market
- Manage cross-functional communication and track cross-functional tasks for a project
- Participate in technical discussions, serve as R&D interface to product planning and partners for PLC milestone preparation and R&D status
- First level manager of R&D team and an informed decision-maker for R&D team’s priority and tasks
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years of team management experience (including hiring, performance management, leadership) for a team of 5-10 members.
- Experience developing software using Agile/Scrum methodologies experience
- Must have 3+ years' experience in Data Analytics.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, CS, CE or related field or equivalent experience, and with 5+ years of industry experience.
- Must demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
