Job description

Job Summary:

Mercury Systems is seeking the best and brightest talent to help us bring cutting edge technology to mission critical aerospace and defense applications, advancing innovation where it matters most. The Engineering team is seeking an RF Engineer who will provide technical leadership to resolve issues that may arise during assembly, production testing, and integration of complex RF/Microwave products. The ideal engineer will demonstrate strong cross-functional collaboration skills, while working effectively with program management, operations, supply chain, and quality teams to support the objectives of a high-impact defense program.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on product troubleshooting in manufacturing and development environments
  • Work with engineers and technicians for offline asset reduction
  • Assist with ongoing engineering development projects and product initiatives
  • Support definition and implementation of producibility improvements
  • Work with Lead Engineers on design updates
  • Collaborate and effectively communicate with cross-functional product teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in High Reliability, Aerospace, or Defense Electronics product development and manufacturing
  • Strong problem-solving skills within fast-paced environments, with a proven ability to collaborate and thrive in team-oriented settings
  • Broad experience with RF/Microwave test equipment to test/troubleshoot RF/Microwave, analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits at the module and component level
  • Ability to balance multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities
  • Active Clearance required on day one

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
  • System level troubleshooting for digital, analog, and power circuits
  • Transfer to production of new or existing designs
  • Familiar with FPGA and Programmable Logic design
  • Experience using data analysis tools such as MATLAB and simulation software (Microwave Office, ADS, HFSS)
  • Experience in failure analysis/Root-Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations

This position requires you to have an active government security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
