BMS Summit, NJ is looking for a Material Handler to join our team. As the Material Handler, you will manage material needs/requirements for CAR-T production per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in controlled and/or classified environments under the supervision of Warehousing Operations Management. Material Handlers must adhere to regulatory requirements while performing job functions. Job duties are performed within a team according to an assigned, production shift schedule. Communication of production deviations and assistance with quality investigations are required, as applicable.

Shift Available:

  • Sunday - Wednesday (with e/o Wednesday off), Onsite, 11 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs inventory control: cycle counts, material stocking, scrapping, at a minimum.

  • Manages material expiry, allocation, and maintains material conditionrequirements.

  • Quantifies and maintains materials in production dispensary.

  • Maintains timing according to the production schedule to ensure on-timelogistics.

  • Records material handling data and information in a clear, concise, format according to proper GDPs.

  • Works in a team based, cross-functional environment to completewarehousing tasks required by shift schedule.

  • Must be able to work in an environment with blood derived components.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of cGMP/FDA regulated industry.

  • Basic mathematical skills.

  • General understanding of cGMPs.

  • Technical writing capability.

  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

  • Inventory control and/or management.

  • Background to include an understanding of biology, chemistry, medical or clinical practices.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with no prior Manufacturing or Operations experience.

  • OR Associate/ Medical Technical degree and 1-2 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience.

  • OR High School diploma/GED and 3-4 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).

  • Strong MS Office experience.

Preferred Requirements:

  • 1 year of GMP experience.

  • 1 year of ERP experience.

Compensation Overview:

Summit West - NJ - US: $28.13 - $34.09per hour

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
