The Role

Atlanticus is seeking a motivated Windows Systems Administrator to join our Infrastructure & Operations team. This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's Windows server infrastructure, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 environment, endpoint management platform, and enterprise desktop environment.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of experience supporting Microsoft technologies and enjoys solving technical challenges while providing outstanding customer service. This position will work closely with the Help Desk, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure a reliable, secure, and well-managed IT environment. The role also serves as a Tier 2/Tier 3 escalation point for complex desktop and infrastructure issues.


Key Responsibilities

Windows Server Administration

  • Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including routine maintenance, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform server patching, upgrades, and health checks to ensure system reliability and security.
  • Support server backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Monitor server performance and resolve infrastructure-related issues.

Active Directory Administration

  • Administer Active Directory users, groups, organizational units, and Group Policy.
  • Support identity lifecycle activities, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, Group Policy, DNS, and Active Directory-related issues.
  • Maintain Active Directory security and operational best practices.

Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Troubleshoot user access, licensing, email, collaboration, and authentication issues.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and ongoing platform maintenance.

Endpoint Management

  • Manage Windows endpoint devices using Microsoft Intune.
  • Support device enrollment, compliance policies, software deployment, and endpoint configuration.
  • Assist with Windows imaging, provisioning, and lifecycle management of laptops and desktops.
  • Support enterprise endpoint security standards and device compliance.

Patch Management

  • Plan and execute Windows Server and endpoint patching activities.
  • Deploy Windows updates using Microsoft Intune and/or WSUS.
  • Manage third-party application patching using enterprise tools such as ManageEngine Endpoint Central, NinjaOne, Action1, or similar platforms.
  • Monitor patch compliance and remediate failed deployments.

User Support

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support for Windows infrastructure and endpoint-related issues.
  • Escalate and resolve complex incidents from the Help Desk.
  • Support hardware, operating systems, Microsoft applications, printers, VPN, and peripheral devices.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base articles.

Deliver exceptional customer service while building strong relationships with internal business users.

You’re a great fit if you have 

  • 4–7 years of experience supporting enterprise Windows environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft 365
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Windows 10/11
  • Experience with Windows Server and endpoint patch management.
  • Experience using WSUS, Microsoft Intune, or similar endpoint management platforms.
  • Familiarity with enterprise patch management tools such as ManageEngine Endpoint Central, NinjaOne, or Action1.
  • Experience supporting end users in a Microsoft enterprise environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred  

  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Hybrid Identity.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Microsoft certifications (MCSA, Azure Administrator, Endpoint Administrator) are a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
