THE WORK Lockheed Martin's Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Infrastructure team is seeking a level 2 Hardware Engineer with an active Secret clearance to work from our Boulder, CO, location.

SBIRS and the NextGen GEO OPIR ground stations form the backbone of the United States' missilewarning architecture In this role you will work closely with software, security, and mission engineers to deliver ultrareliable, and scalable groundsystems that enable continuous infrared surveillance and missilewarning capabilities for legacy and nextgen satellite constellations. Standard Job Description Conducts or participates in the research, design, development, and testing of COTS or custom computing hardware and/or otherelectrical components.

Develops designs for the installation of components and assembliesinto chassis, racks, cabinets,workstations, customer facilities, and/or shelters. Plans, directs, reviews and coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares specifications, evaluates vendors, and analyzes test reports.

For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays
