Job description

We currently have job openings with one of our Direct Client and need Life Underwriting Specialist & Pet Underwriting Specialist. This is 12-24 months contract 100% REMOTE opportunity Please review the job description below.
Job ID - 20-26173
Job 1 - Life Underwriting Specialist
  • Ten years of life insurance underwriting
  • Extensive knowledge of life underwriting principles and practices, including basic contract law.
  • In-depth knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, medical and non-medical risks as they relate to life insurance.
  • Interpretation of attending physicians reports, medical examinations, and medical test results.
  • In-depth understanding of financial underwriting, as it pertains to life insurance.
  • Knowledge of processing and information systems which support underwriting and new business submission.
  • Knowledge of underwriting design and project management.
  • Knowledge of managing and interpreting underwriting results
 
Job 2 - Pet Underwriting Specialist
  • Typically requires 3-5 years of experience in veterinary insurance underwriting or related insurance experience.
  • Prefer experience working in a veterinary clinician role in a veterinary medical office or hospital.
  • Relevant professional designation such as CVT, RVT. CPCU highly desirable
  • Proven ability to understand and interpret medical records and supporting clinical documentation (i.e. written, verbal, diagram or schedule form, etc.). Demonstrated
