Job description

The Vice President & General Manager of Concerts & Promoter Events will own Paciolan's concerts business end-to-end - across P&L, market strategy, event acquisition, product direction, and industry presence - unifying activity that today spans the Arena, College Athletics, and Performing Arts communities. Above all, this leader will be the driving force behind helping Paciolan clients book more concerts and promoter events, and ensuring those events are as profitable and fan-friendly as possible once booked. This leader will bring structure and focus to an already-sizable and growing business, building the dedicated team, operating model, and cross-community coordination required to scale it further.
Concerts & Promoter Events is not a new business for Paciolan - it is long-standing, rooted historically in the Arena community, where we have deep experience powering box office and ticketing operations for venues that host these events. In recent years, that footprint has expanded well beyond Arenas: College Athletics Stadiums and Arenas and Performing Arts Centers are increasingly hosting concerts and promoter events of their own, and the concerts business has grown meaningfully across every community we serve. Specific to College Stadiums, we have powered over 70 concert and promoter events in those venues this past year - representing a 100% year over year increase and the largest number of College Stadium shows in the ticketing industry. We are searching for a single, dedicated leader to unify this cross-segment opportunity - to bring coherence to strategy, product, and go-to-market efforts that today sit distributed across segments. This is a newly created role, but not a new market: the General Manager will inherit an active and growing book of business and a well-established position within the promoter ecosystem, with the mandate to organize, scale, and sharpen Paciolan's concerts strategy across the entire client community.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Own the concerts and promoter events P&L, go-to-market strategy, and growth plan, building on our established base of business across Arenas, College Athletics, and Performing Arts.
  • Help clients secure more concerts and promoter events. Act as a connector between clients - Arenas, College Athletics venues, and Performing Arts centers - and the promoters and touring artists who book them, directly driving event volume across the client base.
  • Partner with clients to maximize the profitability of the concerts and promoter events they host. Bring best practices in dynamic pricing, settlement structures, ancillary revenue, and deal terms so clients capture more value from every show.
  • Help clients maximize the fan experience at concerts and promoter events. Champion patron-facing improvements - presale and onsale execution, day-of-show operations, VIP and hospitality offerings, and post-event engagement - that keep fans coming back.
  • Secure and manage key segment partnerships. Build relationships with promoters, booking agencies, artist management firms, and other industry partners that directly support clients in securing more events and improving event profitability.
  • Develop a broader strategy for concerts and promoter events across the Learfield enterprise. Identify and pursue opportunities to leverage Learfield's assets, relationships, and reach in support of our concerts and promoter events segment.
  • Represent Paciolan externally across the concerts and touring industry: promoter relationships, venue operators, industry conferences (e.g., Pollstar, IEBA), and trade associations.
  • Shape the concerts product roadmap. Translate client needs (dynamic pricing, presale and onsale management, artist settlement and box office reconciliation, VIP and hospitality packages, fan data) into prioritized requirements for the CPO and engineering teams.
  • Own the concerts market story. Develop differentiated positioning, reference client evidence, and a competitive playbook that the support teams can deploy in the field.
  • Elevate concerts and promoter events as a strategic priority inside Paciolan. Rally internal champions across every segment and ensure concerts clients feel like first-class citizens across support, product, events, and communications.
  • Partner across Product, Marketing, Business Development, Client Engagement, and Operations to coordinate execution and clear barriers to concerts segment growth

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience as a senior leader inside the concert ecosystem - whether that be promoter, venue executive or somewhere in between serving the touring concerts market.
  • Existing named relationships among national and independent promoters, venue operators, and artist management/agency contacts.
  • Demonstrated track record of carrying segment-level P&L, or unifying and scaling a book of business that already exists but is distributed across multiple teams or segments.
  • Hands-on familiarity with the workflows that define concerts operations: dynamic pricing, presales and onsales, artist settlement and box office reconciliation, VIP/hospitality packages, fan and patron data. Comfortable in transactional detail.
  • History of influencing product direction inside a platform business without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated success building user groups, advisory boards, or industry communities that drive retention and advocacy.
  • Operates with equal fluency at the executive table and on the industry floor (show nights, conferences, boardrooms).

Pay Transparency:

The approximate national base pay range for this position is $175,000 to $200,000. Please note that this is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and/or sales compensation based on individual and company performance. Placement on the range may vary based on factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and geographic location. The pay rate will comply with all minimum federal, state, and local wage/salary requirements.

Learfield offers a full spectrum of benefits for eligible employees including Medical, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Life Insurance and Other Insurance Plans, Flexible Paid Time Off (minimum 10+ days annually), including Parental Leave, 20 Paid Holidays, 401(k) + Match, and Short/Long Term Disability. Leave benefits are consistent with state and local laws, including the Colorado Health Families and Workplaces Act.

We provide equal employment opportunities to applicants and employees without regard to race; color; sex; gender identity; sexual orientation; religious practices and observances; national origin; pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions; status as a protected veteran or spouse/family member of a protected veteran; or disability.
