    Primary Responsibilities

    The Consolidation Network Regional Director leads daily operations, performance, and continuous improvement across assigned Consolidation Centers within KeHE's network, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective inventory movement and exceptional service to internal and external customers. Overseeing multiple facilities, this leader is accountable for achieving operational, financial, and customer service objectives regionwide, collaborating with various internal teams to drive network strategies and operational excellence. This role also builds high-performing teams, identifies process improvement opportunities, and helps execute Supply Chain leadership's broader strategic vision.     Essential Functions

    DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead operations across multiple Consolidation Centers within an assigned region.
    • Ensure consistent execution of operational standards, policies, and procedures.
    • Deliver performance targets related to safety, service, productivity, quality, and cost.
    • Monitor facility performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
    • Ensure network capacity is effectively managed to support customer and business needs.
    • Provide leadership and oversight for multiple consolidation facilities within the region.
    • Drive operational performance across safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost metrics.
    • Ensure compliance with standardized operating procedures and company policies.
    • Monitor inventory flow and throughput to support customer service expectations.
    • Identify operational risks and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions.
    • Manage regional operating budgets and financial performance.
    • Deliver productivity initiatives and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Support forecasting, labor planning, and annual operating plans.
    • Identify opportunities to improve operating efficiencies and reduce costs.
    • Monitor labor, transportation, and operational expenses to ensure budget compliance.
    • Partner with Transportation, Engineering, and Distribution Operations to improve network efficiency.
    • Support implementation of automation and process improvement initiatives.
    • Optimize facility utilization, labor productivity, and inventory flow.
    • Analyze regional performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Support network expansion and operational readiness initiatives as needed.
    • Collaborate with Transportation, Merchandising, Procurement, Inventory Planning, Finance, Technology, Supplier Management, Sales, and Customer Care teams.
    • Ensure alignment between regional operations and enterprise objectives.
    • Support new customer, supplier, and network initiatives impacting consolidation operations.
    • Resolve operational issues through effective cross-functional partnerships.
    • Champion Lean principles and operational excellence programs.
    • Lead regional continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
    • Utilize data and performance metrics to improve service and productivity.
    • Drive accountability through KPI review and performance management processes.
    • Support adoption of new systems, technologies, and operational best practices.
    • Lead, coach, and develop facility leaders and operational teams.
    • Build a strong leadership pipeline and succession plans within the region.
    • Conduct performance management and employee development activities.
    • Promote employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
    • Develop future leaders through mentoring and career development efforts.
    • Other duties and projects as assigned.

     

    SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

    • Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate multi-site teams, including managers and hourly associates.
    • Ability to build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement across facilities.
    • Deep knowledge of distribution/consolidation center operations, warehouse management systems (WMS), and inventory flow.
    • Strong understanding of transportation and logistics networks, including inbound/outbound freight coordination.
    • Familiarity with labor management systems and productivity/KPI tracking.
    • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Ability to translate broader Supply Chain strategy into actionable regional plans.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, including root-cause analysis and process redesign.
    • Comfortable working with data analytics tools and reporting platforms to drive decisions.
    • Ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority.
    • Ability to lead teams through change, including technology implementations and network redesigns.
    • Flexibility to manage competing priorities across multiple sites and adapt to evolving business needs.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Demonstrated success improving operational, service, and financial performance.
    • Ability to manage P&L responsibility across multiple facilities
    • Skilled in budgeting, cost control, and driving cost-per-unit efficiencies
    • Experience analyzing financial and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
    Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Finance, or related field required.  
    • Master's degree or MBA preferred.  
    • 10+ years of progressive supply chain, logistics, or distribution leadership experience. 
    • 5+ years leading multi-site operations and people leaders. 
    • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and cost management. 
    • Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives. 
    • Warehouse automation, transportation, and supply chain systems experience preferred. 
    • Food distribution, grocery, CPG, or high-volume distribution experience strongly preferred.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Primarily office-based with approximately 30-40% travel to Consolidation Centers, Distribution Centers, vendor locations, and corporate meetings. Occasional lifting up to 20 pounds may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the role.
