Job description

Jet Avion Corporation is located at HEICO's corporate headquarters in Hollywood, Florida and specializes in the supply of various platforms of aircraft and engine PMAs. Our products and capabilities vary from interiors cabin interiors to highly complex power plant and accessory parts.
ROLE: The Group Product Manager (GPM) is responsible for managing the interface between the business unit and the sales function; will also act as a liaison with stakeholders including engineering, supply chain and quality. This person will identify and facilitate/support existing aircraft part sales and develop new part sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  • Responsible for the interface between the corporate sales team and the business unit including but not limited to forecasting, demand planning, order fulfillment & customer issue resolution.
  • Monitor sales by account and sales team member.
  • Challenge and support the reconciliation of deviations from budget and forecast by account.
  • Work with the sales team to develop and maintain demand forecast.
  • Track evaluation package progress from delivery to customer purchase.
  • Travel to customer locations as required developing relationships and meeting customer expectations.
  • Represent HEICO at industry and trade associations and shows to promote the organization and the product.
  • Collaborate with other HEICO business units and groups to promote growth.
  • Relentless focus on total cost of ownership.
  • Constant data analysis to uncover trends and deviations and thereby facilitate proactive incremental improvement in the business ability to meet customer demands.
  • Drive effective and timely communication between upstream and downstream stakeholders to ensure optimal performance and timely resolution of issues.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, participating in professional societies.
  • Maintains team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training Team Members; maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes Team Member results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Business related degree from an accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in progressive operations roles; 5 years minimum management experience; five of the ten years must be with commercial aircraft parts sales / PMA / MRO
  • Experienced in Sales & Operations Planning in a fast-paced environment with high volatility.
  • Proven record of achievement in the field of Operations Management and in the application of best practice in a non-manufacturing environment.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS OR ABILITIES
  • Language: English Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, Team Members and customers.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Outlook; Intermediate MS Excel required.
  • Reasoning Abilities: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Math Skills: Ability to use mathematics to solve problems.
  • Reasoning Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, strict attention to details and ability to multitask and prioritize as necessary.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must work well within a team environment and independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear; and frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this position, the Team Member is regularly exposed to a quiet noise level in the office environment except when on the manufacturing floor where it is a medium to high noise level.
