    Role
    It is an exciting time to take part in our journey to inspire culture and communities. We are looking for a passionate multitasker to join our team as a Lease Administrator at Foot Locker. The Lease Administrator will report to the Manager of Lease Administration and will be responsible for the review and abstraction of all commercial lease agreements for Foot Locker, Inc. to ensure that both Foot Locker, as Tenant, and the landlords perform all their respective obligations under the leases. This includes, but is not limited to, payment of rent, tracking of critical dates tied to specific lease provisions, and taking action to facilitate all rights under the leases as necessary. This role involves collaborative cross-function working relationships with Lease Accounting, Lease Compliance, Real Estate, Legal, Construction, and external parties on addressing and resolving various issues as they specifically relate to leasing inquiries.
    Responsibilities
    • Reading and abstracting legal documents for data entry into the Foot Locker Lease Reporting systems;
    • Ensure data integrity of lease information on company systems;
    • Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure lease obligations are paid in accordance with the lease;
    • Review workflows and Lucernex setups and document filing to ensure GAAP and internal compliance.
    • Ensure the company takes advantage of key lease provisions (e. options, expirations, kick-outs and co-tenancy) and reports these rights to management;
    • Reporting/set-up of Construction Allowances, rent abatements, rent credits, etc.;
    • Work closely with Lease Accounting, Legal and Leasing to resolve issues;
    • Administrate the day-to-day Lease Administration functions, such as:
    • Tracking and processing of legal documents (e. reading, abstracting and setup of new leases and other lease documents)
    • Coordinate the handling of repair & maintenance issues (lease review, landlord notification, etc.)
    • Oversee the issuance of insurance certificates
    • Handle notices of default
    • Review and process CPI base rent increases
    • Address and resolve lease disputes with landlords
    • Lease review and interpretation
    • Oversee and approve processing of landlord/payee changes (e. name, address, contact information)
    • May be required to perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

    Qualifications
    • BA/BS Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
    • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in corporate real estate, lease administration, facilities operations or related function
    • 3 - 5+ years Lease Administration experience
    • Strong working knowledge of commercial lease agreements and common lease terms, lease administration and accounting standards.
    • Experience operating within Sox-controlled environment and supporting audit requirements
    • Property Management Software experience, preferably Lucernex, LeaseQuery or Yardi.
    • Individual must be organized and detail oriented
    • Must be energetic, motivated and a self-starter
    • Comfortable learning and utilizing new technology platforms and tools.
    • Candidate should demonstrate the ability to adapt to frequent process changes, with a flexible and solution-oriented approach.
    • Understanding of 842 accounting principles
    • Proficient with Excel, SharePoint, Microsoft Word 6.0 or higher, database applications MS Access; Lucernex/Accruent
    • Ability to write clear and concise letters / memos / emails;
    • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates in the corporation.
    • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to all levels of management as well as to outside vendors and cross collaboration between multiple departments.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, manage multiple deadlines and priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
    • Able to work well as a team player and successfully collaborate across different departments and/or functions
    • Act in a supervisory role over Lease Administration Coordinators in providing guidance and review and approval of work processed.

    Benefits
    The annual base salary range is $70000 - $75000-per year. This range represents the anticipated low and high ends of the salary for this position. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
