Job description

This position offers local FedEx Ground driving assignments with home daily and a night shift starting at 8:00pm. Drivers are compensated $0.95 per mile and benefit from provided vehicles, fuel, toll payments, and uniforms. The role involves operating Freightliner and Volvo trucks, including automatic transmissions, with a focus on pull-double trailers from the FedEx hub. Drivers enjoy paid vacation after one year, paid sick days, major holidays off, 401K and direct deposit payments every Friday. Tuesday and Wednesday are guaranteed off to ensure work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate vehicles during night shifts safely and efficiently
  • Handle doubles trailers in compliance with regulations
  • Perform compliance and safety checks on equipment and freight
  • Execute 100% drop and hook freight operations with no-touch freight
  • Adhere to company and DOT safety standards and policies
  • Maintain timely and accurate delivery schedules
  • Ensure vehicle and freight security at all times

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license with doubles endorsement
  • Minimum of 1 year tractor-trailer driving experience (doubles experience preferred; training available)
  • Good Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Current medical card
  • Ability to pass drug and background checks

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience
