Job Summary
The Store Director - F&B Locations leads a food and beverage store partnership, overseeing both retail and café operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences and strong financial results. This role is responsible for building and retaining a high-performing and diverse workforce of Assistant Store Directors, Sales Leads, and Team Members, while contributing to Event Network's broader talent planning and leadership pipeline.
The Store Director Food & Beverage brings Event Network's vision, strategy, and core values to life for both the store team and the partner's management team. As the primary point of contact with the partner, the Store Director Food & Beverage builds strong relationships across the organization while leading the store team to achieve sales, per capita, payroll, and net income goals.
In F&B locations, the Store Director Food & Beverage also serves as the operational champion for beverage and food program quality, safety, and consistency, ensuring adherence to brand standards, health regulations, and operational readiness.
Through strong leadership, operational excellence, and strategic partnership, the Store Director Food & Beverage drives sales growth, exceptional service, and a positive team culture.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Leadership and Team Member Results
  • Communicates clear expectations and holds Assistant Store Directors, Sales Leads, and Team Members accountable to Event Network standards of performance and behavior.
  • Recruits, develops, and retains a diverse and high-performing team.
  • Identifies and develops internal talent to support both short and long-term business objectives.
  • Supports company growth through effective recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new team members.
  • Maximizes team and individual performance through effective performance management.
  • Motivates and retains team members through recognition and reward programs aligned with company values.
  • Resolves HR and guest service issues in partnership with Human Resources.
  • Creates a learning environment by modeling Event Network's core values.
  • Maintains strong relationships with Event Network leadership and cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.

Business and Financial Results
  • Achieves store sales, per capita, and EBITDA budgets.
  • Manages payroll, inventory, and controllable expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Identifies innovative strategies to drive sales growth and operational efficiency.
  • Consistently seeks opportunities to reduce expenses and maximize productivity.
  • Utilizes reporting and analytics to identify business trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the District Manager to optimize payroll utilization and operational performance.
  • Identifies Loss Prevention trends and ensures compliance with company standards and audits.
  • Monitors waste and inventory levels to reduce shrink and improve profitability.

Management and Operational Excellence
  • Oversees daily operations of both retail and café/food & beverage areas to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Ensures beverage and food programs follow brand standards, recipes, and presentation expectations.
  • Maintains compliance with health department, food safety, and sanitation regulations (ServSafe or equivalent certification required or obtainable).
  • Conducts regular health and safety readiness checks and ensures operational compliance.
  • Oversees equipment maintenance for café machinery, refrigeration, and sanitation tools.
  • Maintains strong floor presence to provide real-time coaching, guest service support, and operational oversight.
  • Executes short- and long-term business strategies in partnership with the District Manager.
  • Champions company initiatives and ensures consistent execution across the store team.
  • Maintains visual merchandising and product presentation standards consistent with company guidelines.
  • Performs operational tasks including expense control, loss prevention training, inventory management, and scheduling.

Guest and Partner Results
  • Ensures all team members deliver an exceptional guest experience aligned with Event Network's service standards.
  • Creates a warm, welcoming environment where guests feel engaged and valued.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with partner leadership and operational teams.
  • Serves as the primary liaison between Event Network and the partner organization.
  • Shares market insights and guest feedback with Store Operations and Merchandising teams to support growth strategies.
  • Ensures a clean, organized, and safe shopping and dining environment.
  • Promotes involvement in local and partner philanthropic initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of leadership experience in retail, food & beverage, or high-volume hospitality environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial acumen including payroll management, inventory control, and expense management.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
  • Experience managing coffee bar, café, or food service operations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health department compliance.
  • ServSafe certification required or obtainable.
  • Must be 21 years of age for liquor sales (where applicable).
  • Comfort with POS systems, scheduling tools, inventory management systems, and operational reporting.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
