Position Responsibilities

In this role, you'll combine technical leadership with hands-on coding to build scalable, high-impact healthcare technology. You will: 

  • Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and improve existing functionality. 

Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for someone who brings a mix of technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and collaborative spirit: 

  • Collaborate with senior developers to implement new features and improve existing functionality. 
  • Write and test high quality code based on design specification and product requirements with minimal support from team and senior engineers on the team. 
  • Participate in planning and design discussions with product managers and designers. 
  • Write clean, maintainable code using technologies like Python, React, and AWS. 
  • Conduct testing and debugging software to ensure high quality. 
  • Become a subject matter expert on your team's products. 
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment. 
  • Code of Conduct: Responsible for adherence to the Capital Rx Code of Conduct including reporting of noncompliance. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred. 
  • Previous Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) experience preferred. 
  • Git code management skills with experience working in a mono repository preferred. 
  • Strong Python (Flask/SQLAlchemy) and TypeScript (React) experience. 
  • Experience with PostgreSQL database knowledge, e.g. common table expressions, windowing functions, views, stored procedures, full-text or geospatial indexing techniques. 
  • Proficiency targeting infrastructure as code with a security mindset (AWS, Terraform). 
  • Participation throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).  
  • A history of delivering complex web applications to the cloud. 
  • Strong knowledge of unit testing across multiple paradigms. 
  • Experience working with microservices/an API-based application paradigm.
