About the Team

EA Information Technology (EAIT) powers the technology that connects our global workforce and supports every part of our business, from game development to marketing, publishing, security, and player experience. We create secure, scalable solutions that help teams collaborate and innovate in order to create better experiences for players worldwide.

The EA IT Player and Creator Experience team develops platforms and services that support player-facing experiences at scale. Our systems assist players throughout their support journey, help creators to share content that promotes our games, and help maintain safe online communities. We build low-latency, cloud-native, and AI-enabled applications that enhance Fan Care and Creator Engagement for a global audience.

As a Software Engineer in EA IT Player and Creator Expereince team, you will contribute as a Senior Cloud & DevOps Engineer, building scalable cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions that support millions of players worldwide. You will leverage modern technologies to deliver high‑quality, reliable platforms and services. You will also collaborate closely with Product Architects, Scrum Masters, and partner teams to deliver key product features with speed and excellence.

Location & work model:This is a hybrid role with 3 day presence at office in Austin, TX

Report to:Senior Manager, Engineering

What you'll do:
  • Design and operate scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead multi‑environment deployments on AWS and Kubernetes with zero‑downtime approaches.
  • Support engineering teams throughout release cycles to ensure smooth and stable production operations.
  • Automate workflows using scripting, Terraform/CloudFormation, and AI‑driven tooling.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and ArgoCD.
  • Architect and scale microservices platforms for high‑traffic, customer‑facing applications.
  • Champion DevOps, cloud and Kubernetes best practices across teams.
  • Manage security operations including vulnerability scanning, remediation, and compliance.
  • Implement robust observability using ELK/EFK, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Optimize cloud performance and costs through right‑sizing and auto‑scaling strategies.
  • Define and enforce containerization and Kubernetes standards across clusters.
What we are looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and DevOps engineering.
  • Solid experience deploying and operating production workloads on AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Background in building and scaling microservices for high‑traffic applications.
  • CI/CD experience with Git, GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, and ArgoCD.
  • Strong scripting abilities in Shell/Bash and Python.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
  • Experience with NGINX, Traefik, Tomcat, or Apache.
  • Database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
  • AWS and Kubernetes certifications (preferred).
  • Good to have experience with AI/ML platforms (Amazon Bedrock, Agentcore, SageMaker) and MCP orchestration.
What you will need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and delivering Cloud and DevOps solutions.
  • Ability to apply design patterns, scalable architecture principles, Git workflows, and clean coding practices.
  • Openness to learning from senior engineers, architects, and cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong focus on cost optimization and driving efficiency across systems and workflows.
