Job description

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a Global Biology Leader (GBL) for Insecticides & Nematicide segment to join the Integrated Biology team within the Crop Health R&D function. As a key scientific and strategic leader, this role is accountable for creating the global biology strategy and initiatives for the insecticide and nematicide segment across regions-supporting the business strategy. The GBL ensures technical excellence, commercial connectivity, and scientific rigor throughout the product lifecycle, translating global strategy into regional execution plans, managing research initiatives, and driving alignment between technical priorities and business outcomes.
This position is preferably site-dedicated in Indianapolis, Indiana, with the possibility of a virtual arrangement.
Job Responsibilities:
As the global scientific and strategic leader for the insecticide and nematicide portfolio, you will:
  • Set and cascade strategy. Develop the annual portfolio biology strategy and set priorities for the insecticide and nematicide segment.
  • Decisions and budgeting. Track, manage, and maintain segment priorities and associated budgets.
  • Coordinate research strategy and timelines with cross-functional leaders to enable timely and robust business decisions across discovery and development pipeline assets.
  • Provide technical guidance for product lifecycle management, from early development through post-launch. Serve on the Intellectual Property teams and build technical and generic/anti-generic strategies that support business growth.
  • Assess opportunities and competition. Evaluate new trends, competitive offerings, IP, and pipelines; support licensing and acquisition.
  • Manage prioritization and stewardship. Lead annual program prioritization, issues management, and product stewardship reviews.

Required Qualifications:
A successful candidate for this position will meet the following qualifications:
  • PhD in entomology, nematology, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical leadership, R&D, or product development within the agriculture industry.
  • A high-contributing individual with a proven ability to work with and influence the business.
  • A strong understanding of the insecticide and nematicide market globally.
  • Demonstrated industry or scientific discipline influence and collaboration.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-regional scientific initiatives and manage complex technical programs.
  • Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and IP strategy.
  • Experience collaborating with commercial teams and external partners.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills.
