Job description

Overview

CORT Furniture Rental is hiring immediately for a full-time Warehouse Inventory Associate!

The Warehouse Inventory Associate is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This role conducts inventory audits and cycle counts, resolves inventory discrepancies, manages product movement, and assists with receiving, loading, and quality control activities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems, with the ability to support multiple locations and maintain accurate inventory records.


This position is primarily based at our warehouse in Paramount, California, and requires monthly travel to our Glendale, Fountain Valley, and Corona Furniture Outlet locations to conduct inventory cycle counts.

Pay: $18 - $21 / hour depending on experience. This position is also eligible for CORT's Performance Sharing Plan (PSP) bonus plan.

Schedule: Standard is Monday-Friday, 7AM to 3:30PM; some flexibility or overtime may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and V2 systems to maintain inventory records and reporting.
  • Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to ensure inventory accuracy across warehouse and outlet locations.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including barcode and product identification issues.
  • Travel monthly to three Furniture Outlet locations to conduct inventory counts.
  • Pull, stage, load, unload, and relocate products to support delivery and warehouse operations.
  • Receive, verify, stock, and organize incoming inventory.
  • Inspect, clean, test, repair, and prepare furniture and electronics to ensure products are rental-ready.
  • Maintain housewares inventory and support daily operational product pulls.
  • Process scrap furniture and update inventory records following customer pickups and returns.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment while participating in safety initiatives.
  • Assist with deliveries, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Reliable transportation
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, spreadsheets, and data analysis; experience with macros is a plus
  • Experience with inventory management systems and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory audits, and resolving inventory discrepancies
  • Previous warehousing experience preferred; priority consideration will be given to candidates with more and relevant experience
  • Forklift Operator certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided
  • Physically able and willing to move furniture; ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis or 100 pounds with a partner
  • Able to operate equipment such as RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks 
  • Must pass drug screening (does not include THC) as a condition of employment
