Salary Range: $69,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Byron Center that are seeking IT Systems Administrators. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain all IT systems, servers, and network infrastructure across manufacturing facilities.
  • Implement, configure, and troubleshoot industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) applications.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of IT and OT systems through regular patching, backups, and access control management.
  • Provide technical support and resolution for hardware, software, and network issues for manufacturing personnel.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to deploy and support new technologies and automation solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and capacity, recommending and implementing improvements to optimize uptime and efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) and network hardware.
  • Experience with industrial control systems (ICS) or operational technology (OT) environments is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with SCADA or MES systems.
  • Familiarity with industrial networking protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP).
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies in a production setting.
  • Scripting proficiency (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation of routine tasks.
