Job description

Position Title: SAFETY MANAGER
Location: San Diego, CA
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000
Other Forms of Compensation: None
ESFM is the corporate facilities management (FM) division of Compass Group USA, a Gold-level Corporate Sustaining Partner of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), and a Platinum Corporate Member of the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).

Job Summary
The Bilingual SAFETY MANAGER is responsible for site safety. Accountable for the overall safety behaviors of the account. Operates the department in accordance with the approved Quality Assurance standards and Loss Prevention methods, while providing the Client with a safety first facility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
  • Provides support by training
  • Implements policies and procedures
  • Conducts regular site inspections

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Solid understanding of health and safety processes and procedures in compliance and case management with food service, janitorial, and landscaping activities
  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certified preferred
  • CSP Recommended
  • ability to assess risks, effectively train and implement and/or sustain a safety culture
  • Ability to work cohesively with internal managers and employees of Compass Group as well as key clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 4 years industry experience
  • College degree
  • Strong organizational skills
