Description

Information Security Seasonal Employee is an opportunity to improve the skills of an individual seeking an Information Security (InfoSec) profession. The selected individual will join the Information Security team and have the unique experience of being exposed to the various functions of the InfoSec and Information Technology departments, build working relationships across the bank and grow their skills and knowledge The assigned projects will enable you to demonstrate your abilities and provide you with insight into specific areas such as vendor due diligence controls, disaster recovery documentation, and application controls testing. The role will assist in the support of InfoSec initiatives including but not limited to development of security awareness and phishing training materials, monitoring of the incident response management tools, and making updates to the Bank's disaster recovery plans.


Below is a list of essential functions of this position. Additional responsibilities may be assigned in the position.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • High focus on accuracy and attention to details in collaboration with all levels of staff, management, and vendors. Ensure complete and accurate information is included in all communications that are technical in nature. Maintain a focus on Bank policies and procedures when reviewing incidents or controls to preserve a proper security posture.
  • Possess and display a positive approach in daily work, while demonstrating superb communication skills through effective conversations and collaboration. Be the source of exceptional client and employee experiences.
  • Utilizes multiple security systems and tools to monitor system logs and network traffic to identify potential threats. Assists in the review of all Bank software, system security posture, and new software setup. Assists Bank employees with use of security software and features.
  • Effectively support all department activities and responsibilities as the individual may have daily interaction with all business units. Engages new processes, tools, and systems in support of the Information Security Program. Works with co-workers in achieving department goals. Optimally communicates.

Prior experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, debit card system, statement processing system, cash advance machines and any other computer programs pertinent to performing job duties.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.
