Work Schedule, Hours per week: Saturday 8:30am-3:30pm

Starting Salary Range:  $20.47-$26.35 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.

Position Summary: The CLEAR Saturday Supervisor supports JCCC's mission by facilitating lifelong continuing education opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position is responsible for the front-line operational success of the CLEAR program, ensuring a safe, organized, and inclusive learning environment during the Fall and Spring semesters. The incumbent manages real-time logistics, including classroom readiness, staff and aide assignments, and the "day-of" coordination of special events and performances. Serving as a primary point of contact for student safety and behavioral support, this role independently addresses facility and emergency concerns, coordinates with Campus Police when necessary, and maintains effective communication with students, families, and staff to ensure seamless program delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Vocational Rehabilitation, Education, Human Services, or related field.
  • Experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of inclusive post-secondary education practices and self-determination principles.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and universal design for learning.

Position details include but are not limited to:

  • Instruction & Student Learning Ensure classrooms are ready for use Address facilities issues that arise Adjust teaching staff and aide assignments to cover absences as necessary Address staff concerns "Day of" coordination of special events (showcase performances and ceremonies) 
  • Student Safety Address student behavioral issues and/or concerns as they arise Document incidents for the Manager and SEP Director Coordinate safe arrivals and dismissals of students Coordinate safe wayfinding for students during the day Address all emergency protocols and coordinate with Campus Police in the event of a student health or safety emergency.
  • Other duties as assigned: Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be updated at any time at the discretion of management.
