  • Assess students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, or mental health concerns.
  • Conduct evaluations using interviews, observations, histories, checklists, functional assessments, and other appropriate assessment tools.
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based intervention plans that support student success.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support students in developing healthy coping strategies.
  • Help students strengthen social-emotional skills, conflict-resolution abilities, and anger-management strategies.
  • Develop interventions designed to improve academic engagement and success.
  • Connect students and families with appropriate school, agency, and community resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations, goals, objectives, and appropriate services.
  • Attend annual IEP meetings, 30-day reviews, internal planning meetings, and discharge meetings.
  • Prepare and submit evaluations, progress documentation, and discharge summaries accurately and promptly.
  • Support teachers and school personnel with classroom management strategies and student behavioral needs.
  • Develop and provide staff training and in-service programs related to student social, emotional, and mental health needs.

What We're Looking For
Education
  • Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university.

Licensure
  • Must possess a valid and current LCSW or LMSW license.

Experience
  • At least 2 years of clinical social work experience.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting is strongly preferred.

Why Join The Chimes School?
