Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team at the Center For Discovery, Ltd in Ontario, California. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting intake assessments to understand clients’ needs, challenges, and treatment goals.
  • Designing and implementing personalized treatment plans that are evidence-based and client-centered.
  • Utilizing therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, and family systems therapy to facilitate progress and healing.
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes in our electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Engaging in regular case consultations with colleagues to ensure comprehensive care and adherence to the highest clinical standards.
  • Actively participating in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with the latest developments in therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will directly impact a diverse client population, including adults and families experiencing mental health issues, relationship challenges, trauma, and addiction. You will help clients navigate personal obstacles through therapeutic interventions, enhancing their emotional well-being and relational dynamics. Your expertise will be crucial in creating a safe and validating environment for clients to express their concerns and achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • An active and valid LMFT license in California, allowing for the provision of therapeutic services within the state.
  • A strong foundation in therapeutic practices, with a clear understanding of relevant laws and ethical standards related to mental health counseling.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences will be highly valued:

  • At least 2 years of clinical experience working with diverse populations, including those dealing with trauma, addiction, and complex family dynamics.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize evidence-based modalities in therapy, catering to the needs of individual, couple, and family clients.
  • Experience in an outpatient setting that utilizes interdisciplinary strategies to support clients’ mental health.
Compensation and Benefits
